Texture offers Creative Cornices, a fun and easy no-sew cornice kit for the do-it-yourselfer. Your fabric is simply tucked into the pre-cut tuck grooves on the cornice form. These patented tuck grooves will hold your fabric very tightly in place but also allows yout to remove the fabric when you want to redecorate. The ability to reuse Creative Cornices make them an outstanding value.

The cornices are made of polystyrene which is very light, yet durable and may be easily cut for a custom fit. Polystyrene is a rigid material so it is able to cover a large expanse of window with no sagging or dipping.

This affordable, do-it-yourself cornice kit is a decorator's dream. Use one fabric or two complimentary fabrics to create a beautiful design. Add cording, tassels, beads or other trims to further customize the look. You can also use wallpaper, wall paper borders or faux painting techniques to decorate your cornice.

Creating your custom cornice is as easy as 1-2-3!

1. Assemble: Customize the size of your cornice by cutting the appropriate amount off of an extension piece with a hacksaw or other serrated blade. Glue the sections together using a low temp hot glue gun. Glue on the end caps. You now have your cornice frame.

2. Decorate: Cut strips of fabric and tuck them into the pre-cut tuck grooves, using the included tuck tool. No stapling or sewing is necessary. Add trims if desired.

3. Hang: Attach the provided mounting brackets to the wall using a drill or cordless screwdriver. One standard 5" bracket will be provided for every 3 feet of cornice. The cornice is so lightweight, you don't even need to find a stud. Next, push the back tuck groove of the cornice on to the mounting brackets. Step back and enjoy the look of your new window treatment!

Use your cornice alone, over existing drapes and drapery rods, or to give a finished look to windows with blinds or shades. If the your existing window treatments and hardware extend out from the wall greater than 5 inches, then you will need to purchase the 5-7 inch adjustable brackets. This will allow the projection of your cornice to be up to 7 inches. If want your the projection to be less than the standard 5 inches, you can purchase 3 inch brackets. All kits come with standard 5 inch brackets included.

Do you have bay or corner windows? Not a problem! Our special adapters have a soft foam center which allows your cornice to bend at any angle, up to 90 degrees! You will get a beautiful and seamless look for your hard to decorate windows.

Three 16 inch extension pieces. (These make up the length of the cornice)

Note: Each extension kit adds an additional 32 inches to your cornice length. We have packaged cornice kits and extension kits together to create various cornice lengths as a convenience to you. However, you can purchase both separately.

Each Bay Window Adapter Kit includes:
Two adapters with soft foam centers that allow the cornice to bend
Mounting brackets, screws and anchors
Directions
(Corner Window Adapter Kits will include only one adapter piece. Directions and mounting hardware will be provided.)
